Biosecurity & Quality
Quality is the number 1 objective at Hubbard.
Hubbard invests considerable financial and human resources to ensure that the best possible health status is maintained throughout the supply chain – from R&D to the delivery of the commercial product to the customer.
Hubbard’s R&D, Veterinary and Production departments work in close collaboration to verify the efficient implementation of bio-security programs, health monitoring and quality control procedures – in our own facilities, and at the distributor’s level. This process involves intense health monitoring and control procedures, intended to provide rigorous protection against vectors of contamination, including:
- locating production facilities in low chicken density areas
- strictly controlling access
- using only clean feeds
- using air-filtered houses for environmental security
These programs are reviewed and updated on a continuous basis to address the latest epidemiological and scientific developments and to comply with all current regulatory requirements.
We know Hubbard is the initial source of an integrated poultry chain – and we take that responsibility seriously. Therefore, we extend our healthy monitoring initiatives to include traceability of our breeding stock throughout the food chain.
By making quality a priority throughout our global organization, Hubbard ensures the delivery of healthy, premium-quality breeding stock to our customers around the world.
Hubbard is “EFABAR” certified
“EFABAR” is a “code of Good Practice for Farm Animal Breeding and Reproduction Organisations” and addresses the issues of food safety and public health, product quality, genetic diversity, efficiency, environmental impact, animal health, animal welfare, and breeding and reproduction technologies.
This certification, implemented by our Global Quality department, confirms our voluntary commitment to sustainable animal breeding.
