10/12/2026

Campinas, SP, Brazil – Hubbard® was pleased to welcome poultry producers from across Latin America to Miami, Florida, September 21-24 for its first “Latin American Hubbard Efficiency Plus Breeder Seminar”. Joined by poultry industry specialists from Jamesway, Amlan, Plasson and Vaxxinova, Hubbard offered four days of practical learning focused on breeder management and the evolving needs of broiler production throughout the region.

The seminar reflected Hubbard’s commitment to sharing knowledge that can make a meaningful difference for customers and their flocks. Sessions explored ways to care for Hubbard Efficiency Plus breeders while advancing animal health and welfare, resource efficiency and sustainable broiler production.

Sharing knowledge for healthy breeder flocks

Attendees deepened the ir knowledge of the Hubbard Efficiency Plus through sessions on breeder and broiler performance, flock management and the latest developments in Hubbard research and development.

Poultry specialists also shared insight on nutrition, feed particle size, male management, incubation and chick quality, coccidiosis vaccination, gut microbiota and controlled-environment housing. Participants heard firsthand from Nutriza, a Brazilian integrated operation about achieving strong Hubbard Efficiency Plus results under commercial conditions.

Question-and-answer sessions opened the floor for customers, Hubbard specialists and participating companies to exchange experiences and explore questions together. “It was very rewarding to listen to our customers, but the interaction between companies sharing their knowledge and technical results of the Hubbard Efficiency Plus was gratifying ensuring future success,” said Mark Barnes, General Manager of Hubbard LLC.

Recognizing outstanding flock performance

During the closing dinner, Hubbard recognised the top-performing Hubbard Efficiency Plus breeder flocks in Latin America based on results achieved at 65 weeks of age. Criaves, from El Salvador, led both categories “total chicks” and “total eggs” per hen housed. Other outstanding results recognised included flocks from Neria (Mexico), Vitali Alimentos (Guatemala) and Agrofem (Dominican Republic).

“These outstanding results reflect the dedication, expertise and attention to detail of our customers and their teams. We are proud to celebrate their achievements and the excellent work behind every flock,” said José Castiletti, Hubbard Sales and Technical Manager for Andean Pact, Central America & the Caribbean. “When strong management and technical expertise come together with the genetic potential of the Hubbard Efficiency Plus, results like these are possible. These flocks are a great example of that potential being realised under commercial conditions,” added Juan Lorenzo Diaz, Hubbard Mexico Regional Manager.

Learning that makes a difference

For those attending, the seminar offered both practical ideas to take home and valuable time with poultry colleagues from across Latin America. “The seminar brought valuable insights, particularly in nutrition, which can help us further improve the strong results we are already achieving with the Hubbard Efficiency Plus, while the exchange of experiences with producers from other countries adds tremendous value,” said Julio Flores – Production Director, Grupo Crío, Mexico.

“The practical knowledge shared by Hubbard’s specialists, together with the opportunity to exchange experiences with other producers, has helped us improve our practices and achieve excellent results with Hubbard,” said Boris Galindo – Production Director, COAVE, Dominican Republic.

“The seminar provided highly relevant and up-to-date knowledge across key areas such as breeder management, incubation, health control, environmental management and nutrition, while the exchange of experiences with producers from other countries gave us valuable ideas to improve efficiency and build on the strong results we are seeing with the Hubbard Efficiency Plus,” said Luiz Fernando Muñoz – Production Director, La Caridad, Venezuela.

Working together for Latin American poultry production

“For Hubbard, the days in Miami reinforced the value of staying close to customers and creating opportunities for poultry professionals to learn from one another,” added Barnes. “By creating new contacts, sharing knowledge and experiences, the industry can continue advancing the respective country’s flock welfare and sustainable broiler production while providing nutritious, affordable chicken for families throughout Latin America.”
