Asia – Hubbard is very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. John Lemuel Dela Cruz, better known as “Doc Lemuel”, as Technical Services Manager for the Philippines and Malaysia. Doc Lemuel is based in the Philippines and reports to Dr. Roberto Yamawaki, Global Technical Director.
Doc Lemuel graduated in Veterinary Medicine from Central Luzon State University in the Philippines and brings more than 11 years of experience in the Philippine poultry industry, with a strong background in broiler breeder and broiler production, flock health, technical services and customer support. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with poultry integrators and commercial farms, providing technical advice, monitoring flock performance and supporting breeder management under field conditions.
Before joining Hubbard, he served as Technical Service Manager for a broiler breeding company in the Philippines, where he provided field-based technical support to poultry integrators across the country. His responsibilities included breeder and broiler farm monitoring, flock health diagnostics and performance analysis. His veterinary expertise is complemented by an MBA from the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business, combining technical knowledge with customer engagement and business understanding.
In his role at Hubbard, Doc Lemuel will further strengthen Hubbard’s local technical presence and its commitment to providing high-quality, practical support to customers throughout the Philippines and Malaysia. He will focus on supporting Hubbard’s growing customer base in the Philippines and Malaysia. He will ensure regular support of Hubbard customers by sharing and analysing performance data in collaboration with the Asian and Global Customer Support teams, while providing practical guidance on best management practices.
Dr. Roberto Yamawaki added: “The Philippines is a very important and growing market for Hubbard, particularly with the development of the Hubbard Efficiency Plus in the country. Doc Lemuel’s extensive experience in the Philippine broiler industry, combined with his strong technical background and knowledge of local production conditions, will allow us to work even more closely with our customers. Together with our Asian and Global teams, he will play an important role in strengthening our technical support and helping our customers achieve the full potential of the Hubbard breeds”.
